We want our youth to know and treasure Christ, and we want to obey the biblical command to baptize those who put their faith in him. If your child has expressed interest in baptism or you’d like to learn more to help discern your child’s readiness, please join us for our Youth Baptism Class on Sunday, September 29th. At least one parent and their interested youth should attend. Lunch will be provided, so please RSVP by Thursday 9/26!
The class will begin with a session for parents, while the youth enjoy lunch and watch a show in a separate room. During the parent portion, we will discuss questions you can ask, resources you can use, and the process you can go through to help assess your child’s current understanding of the gospel and the genuineness of their faith in Jesus to save them.
Following this session, the youth will join their parents as we share more about the basics of the gospel and of baptism. Our goal in covering these fundamental truths is to help the youth further understand what it means to be baptized, better assess if they’ve truly made this faith their own, and more confidently decide if they are ready to take the next step in publicly professing that faith.
This class is designed to help us delve deeper into our youth's faith journey and better understand where they are spiritually so that we might disciple them in Christ more intentionally. Whether this process results in your child getting baptized or in a decision to wait, we rejoice with you in the work the Lord has already begun in their life and are eager to continue in our pursuit of Christ together!
If you are interested in attending, please RSVP HERE by Thursday, 9/26 so we can accurately plan for food. If you have more questions or are interested and can’t attend this class, please email hello@tablerock.church.
