I was born and mostly raised in Atlanta Georgia with my wonderful parents and older sister. I was brought up in the Catholic church though I wasn’t personally interested in faith. It wasn’t until I got to the University of Georgia as a freshmen that God began to stir in my heart. A sorority sister began to share with me about her personal faith and having a genuine relationship with God. Another ministry staff met regularly with me to help me understand that as an imperfect person I was a sinner. And my sin separates me from God who is himself perfect. The only way for me to know and be united to God was trusting Jesus' payment for my sin on the cross and receiving his grace and forgiveness. Learning the gospel changed my whole perspective on life. Though messy, God began to give me new desires and new thinking.
While in college I was mentored by a Campus Outreach staff woman growing in knowledge about God and the gospel, and practically how to read and study the Bible, how to share my faith, real repentance and faith, and how to walk with Christ. After graduating, I decided to defer my career plans temporarily and work with Campus Outreach Atlanta for a year. But, after watching and experiencing God changing others’ lives I was ready to forego my previous dreams to pursue ministry longer term. I loved it!
I met Andrew shortly after going on staff and a few years later we married. I then moved to Minneapolis, MN to join with Andrew in Campus Outreach there. It has been a great joy to be married to him and work alongside each other with students for many years and in many places. God has kindly also given us four awesome children Grayson, Jackson, Callum, and Molly. I love investing in them and helping them flourish and grow, which is a main priority.
With our season of family life, I now work part time with Table Rock investing in women at Boise State. I love sharing my story especially with others in the Greek system, offering the hope that Jesus promises, and mentoring those wanting to grow deeper in relationship with Christ.
