Ryan Patterson
I grew up in Redding, California and was introduced to the Gospel from a very young age. Though I was exposed to the gospel in my early youth, it didn’t take full effect on my heart until my later years in high school. Through many means of grace and a dear friend who introduced the beauty of the Gospel to me, Jesus Christ kindly drew me to repentance and faith in him. This set me on a trajectory to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies from Master’s University. While there I pursued leading musical worship through local churches, national conferences, and college chapels. After college I married my beautiful bride, Megan Patterson, and we moved back to Redding in 2009 to serve in pastoral ministry. We served at that church for a little over seven years, and we had our three amazing kids: Thatcher (2012), Hank (2015), and Virginia (2016). The Lord led us to Idaho in 2016 through a break from vocational ministry. I ended up getting a barber license and opening a local barber and men’s retail shop. The Lord eventually called us back to ministry, and I joined the pastoral staff overseeing worship and counseling as an elder at a local church in Boise. Through that church, we met the pastors at Table Rock church and were immediately drawn to their hearts for the gospel of God, the glory of Christ, and the beauty of the local church. I have now had the privilege of serving as a
minister at Table Rock since November of 2024. Our hope and desire is to encourage the saints with a Gospel that deeply impacts the hearts of the people and leads them to see the all-encompassing, all-glorious, and all-satisfying person of Jesus! We love Boise and thoroughly enjoy getting a good cup of coffee at our favorite shop, Push & Pour in Garden City. Another favorite pastime is watching our kids ride their bikes and scooters on the Greenbelt while praying that the Lord in his kindness would draw Boise to himself for his glory and our joy!
My prayer for Table Rock Church is Paul’s prayer for the church in Ephesus: “that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God” (Ephesians 3:17–19).
